MCR42- Macroporous Thiourea chelating resin

MCR42 is a macroporous chelating resin with polystyrene matrix and thiourea function group. MCR42 is designed for high precision mercury selectivity. The particle size is in standard gaussian distribution with 0.315-1.25mm >95%.

MCR42 is more resistant to oxidation than thiol based resins MCR40, so, It is not needed to store and transport resins under the water protection.

MCR42 is used to remove mercury from underground water, tap water, lake water source, and reduce the mercury concentration to less than 1ppb residual.

MCR42 could be operated in a wide range of pH 2-10, but it is regenerated by HCl, through rinsing and reused. But generally, MCR42 is recommended to be non-regenerated and treated as solid waste. For high concentrated mercury wastewater, Na2S could be used to precipitate mercury to reduce the ppb level, and precipitate mercury could be treated as solid waste. Then, MCR42 is used to remove mercury with ppb level in following fine treatment, and it could treat 104-105 Volume ratio of wastewater, so it is economical.
